The Early Years: Learning Through Action

My professional journey didn't start in a boardroom. At 17, I began my career as a salesperson in an electronics shop. Over the next decade, I worked my way up from the sales floor to District Manager. It was during those years—designing commission schemes, managing inventory, and driving sales targets—that I first discovered the true power of Excel.

The Turning Point: Building a Foundation

At 30, as I prepared for the birth of my child, I transitioned into Retail Operations. This was my wake-up call. I realized Excel wasn't just for simple math; it was the backbone of business analysis, real-time budgeting, and strategic planning. Without formal training, I taught myself through books and trial and error, solving one complex business problem at a time.

The Battle-Tested Expert

Later, during my time at Watsons, I was managing stores with over 10,000 SKUs. In a high-stakes environment where every second counted, standard reports couldn't keep up. My ability to build robust systems—handling files over 100MB while keeping them fast and fluid—became my core competitive advantage.

The Academic Pursuit & Leadership

I never stopped pushing myself. After earning my Bachelor’s degree, I went on to complete two Master’s degrees: one in Operations Management and another in Business Analytics.

This combination of grit and high-level theory led me to become the Head of a Business Control Team. In that role, I was responsible for analyzing commercial data to optimize the efficiency and revenue of over 1,500 tenants. Excel remained my most trusted partner in every major decision.
