SLW#040: Chase Your Dream Without Regrets
Time flies. Let me tell you a story. Last year, around this time, I quit my full-time job with a good salary and stable working hours.
Why? After working for others for decades, I finally realized I wanted to build something for myself.
At the same time, I pursued my dream in Excel, using my expertise to help people around the world.
It wasn't easy, of course. Saying goodbye to a steady paycheck and starting a solo business.
Sometimes, people ask me how I did it. They seem curious about my journey, but in reality, they may have been thinking about the same thing.
The difference? I took action. They stayed the same, like I used to.
The most common questions:
Was I rich enough to pursue my dream without any financial worries? No.
Did I start with worries and unseen risks? Yes.
One year later, I realized that worrying was unnecessary because my worries had come true. Financially, my income took a big hit.
However, in return, it was a crucial step towards my dream and business.
I believe it was a spark.
I don't regret making this move. Besides the financial return, I've grown much faster than I anticipated. No matter what, I have the confidence to maintain this momentum.
So, let's quickly review. I've taken on many new challenges this year:
-
I created nearly 250 short Excel tutorials.
-
I've consistently posted every day.
-
I've been growing six social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Threads from 4000 to 120,000 followers.
-
I built my first website.
-
I proudly created my signature course - Excel Analytics OS.
-
I organized tips and tricks into a product.
-
I built another product, the Business Dashboard Masterclass.
-
I've started and written my newsletter for 40 weeks, which is why you're reading this today.
-
I reached my first hundred students after launching the course for a few months.
-
Three months ago, I started my new career as a property agent while still pursuing my Excel dream. I'm glad I've been able to maintain my momentum here.
Nothing comes easy. Life is full of challenges. I love my life, and I hope you do too.
